The Greater Houston Area Chapter of the American Red Cross recently held its "Eighteenth Celebration of the Day of the Child" on Saturday, April 26, 2014. The chapter hosted a health fair and festival, and residents of the community were invited to take part in activities such as free hearing and vision screenings, disease and fire prevention, and children's raffle. Houston Public Library was one of the many vendors who were in attendance this year and was represented by Stanaker's own, Ann Perry and Rosa Medrano.
